1. WORKSHOP FOR INTERNATIONAL TOP WRITERS

Head of Development and Emmy winning Executive Producer Ran Tellem summons  international talents like Keren Margalit (The A Word) to a creative workshop in a confidential atmosphere. The creators bring their own material / questions to the workshop and help each other with creative issues.

 

2. WHEN BIG BUSINESS MEETS DRAMA TALENT

Private investors, export organizations and creative talents are invited to a discussion on what how to best work together. What should a writer really know about financing processes? Should a non Anglo-Saxon writer agree to write in English? Who should interfere in what?

 

3A)  CREATING TEAMS THAT CREATE TOP SERIES (FOR STUDENTS)

Producer Camilla Hammerich talks about creating the best possible teams for highly ambitious series. She has worked closely with creator Adam Price on his series Borgen and Ride Upon the Storm and written the book THE BORGEN EXPERIENCE – Creating TV Drama the Danish Way.

3B) FROM STUDYING TO CO-WRITING TO SHOWRUNNING (FOR STUDENTS)

Showrunner Jeppe Gjervig Gram was headhunted by DR Drama while still in film school. Jeppe will share his valuable knowledge and personal experience with Finnish film  students. How did he learn to write series and how did he end up a successful head writer / showrunner himself?

 

4. CREATIVES AND COMMISSIONERS (PART 2) WRITERS ROOM

In 2017 script-writer Sami Keski-Vähälä invited Finnish writers, producers and commissioners to a workshop on successful commissioning. A number of difficult questions were brought to stage. The 2018 year’s workshop (and questionnaire) will seek solutions to the issues raised. The writers will also be invited to an invitation only masterclass with a Helsinki Script main speaker.
